KIMCHI POWER!! is based on my experience of living with my Korean-American family living in Flushing, New York.
CHARACTERS:
Jawon Kim
She lives in her own fantasy world in terms of space and time. She is always at least an hour and half late and she drives her children crazy. People who don’t know her too well think she is absolutely charming. She is very gentle and kind and yet will cut someone if it increases her chance to become president of the Korean Womens Writer’s Association. She is highly ashamed of both of her children though she loves them very much.
Kimmy Kim
The voice of reason. She is artsy, sometimes loud and then other times very quiet. She currently waitresses at a cafe while she figures out what she wants to do with her life. Kimmy is Jay’s older sister.
Jay Kim
His world is of video games, SPAM and rice and Fantasy books. He sometimes works at the family bagel store but most of time can be found smoking or watching shows on the internet. He’s very intelligent and book smart – but incredibly lazy. Jay is Kimmy’s little brother.
Yunah Kim
Yunah is Kimmy’s cousin. She is 5.5 years old and tells terrible knock knock jokes.
